I trained in psychology and neuroscience before spending a decade in the corporate world. While both taught me a great deal, I became increasingly aware that something was missing.

Much of what I had learned focused on analysing the past to explain the present, but insight alone doesn’t always translate into feeling better in the body — you can understand why you feel a certain way and still feel stuck.

Like many of the people I work with now, I spent years doing “all the right things”, functioning well on the outside but feeling increasingly disconnected on the inside. Why was my chest tight every evening? Why was I procrastinating so much? Why did my body keep failing me?

I needed something that made sense.

When someone told me acupuncture helped connect the body and the mind, I thought that just might be the ticket.

And it was.

Whilst therapy had helped me understand my mind, acupuncture sank into my body and gave a deep sense of peace and vitality I had never felt.

Discovering that this medicine has existed for thousands of years, and continues to be effective today, stopped me in my tracks. It raised a simple question: how can something so enduring remain relatively unknown to so many people who are struggling?

I trained in Five Element Acupuncture under Gerard Kite, with the intention of bringing this deeply rooted and effective form of medicine to people who need it.

Armed with a psychology degree and a decade of corporate experience. I’ve built my practice to bridge ancient systems of medicine with modern psychology and a real, practical understanding of the stress and complexity of life.

Using ancient acupuncture principles, I focus on the root cause of imbalance, whether that manifests physically, emotionally or both.

Rather than focusing on one-off treatments, I take the time to understand your system and how it returns to balance over time. We begin with weekly treatments to establish that balance, guided by changes I feel in your pulses. As your system stabilises, sessions are gradually spaced out.

From there, I’m here when you need — supporting you to move through life from a place of balance, with an awareness of when that balance begins to shift.
